There are Christmas graphics; there are also graphics that will work for any December Holiday celebration; there are graphics like gifts and holiday cupcakes. The packet includes Holiday pre-writing practice, Holiday do-a-dot letters. Holiday 1 to 1 correspondence counting cards, and Holiday roll a number card. Print and cut all the cards out along the borders. For Holiday pre-writing cards, the cards come in different sizes with variations of pre-writing marks. There are also blank cards with graphics only. Place whichever cards you choose in your literacy station along with writing utensils. Allow children to trace the various marks. Allow children to use the blank cards to make their own pre-writing marks. This is good for fine motor as well as pre-writing practice. For Holiday do-a-dot letters, pick which cards you want to use. Place the cards in your literacy station. Place washable dot markers in your literacy center. Allow children to dot the letters with the markers. Encourage children to say the name of the letters aloud. This also helps with fine motor skills in addition to letter recognition. For Holiday 1 to 1 correspondence, the cards have numbers and number words. The cards also have a unicorn and a number of cupcakes that match the number on the card. Place the cards in your maths station. Give the children foam stickers that can represent candy. The stickers can be candy stickers, or they can just be glittery circle stickers. Tell the children that they need to decorate the unicorn’s Holiday cupcake with candies. Allow the children to stick one sticker on each cupcake on the card. Encourage the children to touch the foam stickers then count each number to figure out the end number. For Holiday roll a number, place this card in your maths station. Allow the children to roll dice. Allow children to count the dots on the dice that they rolled. Allow children decorate the Holiday cupcake with candies. Allow children to place the correct amount of foam stickers on the Holiday cupcake. Example: If a four is rolled, four stickers should be placed on the cupcake.

You may change the font to anything you wish if you do not want to use this one. You may also choose to change the size and color of the font as well. Click on the letter on the candy, and you should be able to edit the letter. If you have never edited in Word and can not get it to work, please email me. I will explain it to you more. My email is in the ecplayandlearn@gmail.com. I have provided sixteen candies for letters for names. You may re-edit, and you may make more copies if you need more than sixteen letters. After you have all the letters that you need printed out, cut out the monster and the candies. Tell the children that the baby monster needs candy; tell them that the candies will spell their name. Have the children find the candies with the letters that are in their names. Have the children put the letters of their name in order. Have the children tape the candy letters together. The letters should be displayed up and down. I have examples for you to reference. Once the candy letters are taped together, ask the children to spell their names. Thank you for taking a look at my resource. I hope you find it helpful. Don’t forget to leave feedback! I greatly appreciate all feedback.
